  1. However, having fundamental senses of maintaining health are different from taking solid actions to keep healthy bodies. It is also found that a large proportion of students did not have regular exercise habit, especially female students. For male respondents, more than two thirds of them do exercise more than 3 times a week which are regarded as a regular amount. On the contrary, more than 60% of female respondents did exercise only 1 to 2 times per week and a quarter of them even did not have any exercise in a particular week. Thus, a direct relationship between physical activities and stress management can be demonstrated from this result. It seems that female students may have a tendency to be more stressful as they do not have a regular exercise habit while male students engage more frequently in doing exercise so their stress level are comparatively lower than female students. Besides, it may possibly be due to the laziness of students and they might prioritize health behind other factors. As university students, they are busy with academic work, committee work, part-time jobs and entertainment, to name but a few. They probably spend most of the time in doing these things and put exercise in a low priority so the level of stress would remain high.
