You can learn a lot of new words/phrases essential to everyday situations through popular culture, for example, films, songs, etc. To make those words/phrases part of your vocabulary, you have to practice using them repeatedly. The following tasks are designed to help you understand, remember and use the target vocabulary.

Task One


Watch the trailer and answer the following comprehension questions:

The following words are extracted from the transcript, refer to the context of the trailer and match the word with its definition.

Fill in the blanks in the following sentences by using the words provided in the box below. Use the correct form of the words to make your choice grammatical.

You can improve your memory of a word by associating it with its synonyms. A synonym is a word that has the same, or nearly the same meaning as another word.
